R A N C E   L.  F R Y E

Rance has 17 years of experience in Forestry and Land Development.  His forestry background stretches from tree stumps to the furniture showroom. Rance once taught Forest Ecology at the junior college level while working as a Consulting Forester. Over time, opportunities opened in sales and management within the woodworking industry. In 1999, Rance was elected President of the SW Virginia Chapter of the Society of American Foresters. The energy he spent developing lumber and timber contacts then translated into success in land development. Rance’s extensive industry base in the eastern U.S. supported him as he stepped into the role of land acquisition manager for a real estate development company. As he continually noticed a lack of well-groomed properties for land buyers, a concept formed in Rance’s mind that proved to be the progenitor to the creation of Land Staging and Land Solutions Group, LLC.

Created vision of Land Staging property to
  help sellers capture limited buyers.
   

Produced 75+ land management plans for
  Greenbelt tax evaluations in 2009.
   

Created Land Staging plan for 568-acre
  lakefront development in Illinois.

Assistant Plant Manager

Developed new dry kiln schedules for hickory
  and other species, which improved efficiency
  by 36% and reduced lead time for the plant.
   

Annually purchased over 7M feet of
  hardwood lumber for the plant.

 

 

Land Acquisition and Project Manager  

Responsible for acquiring $28M in property
  for development.
   

Negotiated contracts and managed daily site
  activities for up to nine sub-contractors and their
  related staff members.
   

Essential to layout design for projects generating
  over $30M in sales.
   

Integrated ArcView, SoloForest and AutoCad   
  programs into the land development process. In doing
  so, generated annual savings over $45K and reduced
